Why Facial Yoga is here to stay? (Part 2)

Facial yoga exercise th.at you can practice at home.

We asked Isidora Peric, Founder – The Fit Face Yoga, to teach us a simple facial exercise and massage regime, which helps lift, firm, tone and reduce wrinkles.

Facial Yoga exercises work all the layers of the skin and help increase blood circulation, allowing more oxygen and nourishment to reach the cells of the skin. The result is a clear, healthy, supple complexion with a beautiful glow which has less toxins and has a better ability to absorb moisture.

Facial Exercises:

1. Pull a fish face (suck in your checks and lift your cheek bones) and try to smile at the same time. Lifts the cheek area and stimulates almost half of the facial muscles. Try to hold for 20 seconds at a time.

2. Lift your head up and ‘kiss’ the ceiling repeatedly; this tones and lifts the neck muscles.

3. Choose a spot in front of you and open your eyes as much as you can while keeping the rest of your face relaxed. Repeat up to 2 times. This tones the eye lids and makes you look more awake.

Facial Massage techniques:1. The Eight Massage- Draw an eight around your eyes using two fingers, avoiding the delicate eye area. Increases the circulation around the eyes causing them to de-puff and helps with dark circles.

2. The Eye Brow Pinch- Pinch your eyebrows using two fingers starting at beginning of the brows all the way to the end.
3. Forehead Massage- Using one finger from each hand, massage in circles in opposing directions. Prevents and treats fine lines and wrinkles on the head.
