Touch Me…Please!

Does touch play a crucial role in generating and enhancing love, asks Varun Simba Kapur? Yes, it seems. At times it may be stronger than a verbal or emotional contact.

Delicate touch. The first time our feet touches the Earth. The first time our mother kisses us. The first time we fall in love, or shall we say Rise in Love. Without touch and its associated intentions, we would not be much different from robots. What is it about that handshake, hug, and kiss – that conscious hand holding that connects us eternally. Would it be the same if we wore gloves and held each other?

Through meaningful touch, the creative energy of Love is experienced. On a deeply subconscious level, we are all searching for love. It’s healing, nurturing and uplifting nature connects us with ourselves and others. The sense of belonging, of being understood is so essential to our existence, we chase Love as though it is this elusive enigma, however it’s right here within us; we are Love.

Our society today is hungry; we crave for genuine, love filled interactions. Today, we are separated by technology and biases, multiple illusions have established themselves, layer upon layer. Little do we know that our desire of connection is so deeply ingrained in our physiology and by indulging in technology we feel (on a superficial level) that we are indeed satisfying our deepest needs. In this hyper connected world (which does serve a purpose), we need to work towards a more balanced state of being, one in which we are more in touch with ourselves whereby allowing us to project our true light and attract people and experiences that empower us to thrive.

An effective and profound way to connect with ourselves and others is through building a relationship with our wonderful Planet Earth. When was the last time you walked barefoot on the beach? Have you ever hugged a tree? Have you looked up at birds cutting through the skies and imagined yourself to be right up there with them? The immense power that we can tap into via nature is indescribable. It can only be felt, and the more one practices, the more power (and Love) one feels.

Through touch and love, a powerful transference of energy takes place, one that is is essential for the healthy development of our cells that is reflected by our physical body, and our emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. This process of grounding awakens a strong sense of intuition and meaningful action that merges together to create a new, evolved existence.

So, take some time and imagine yourself as a ball of golden light and as you practice connecting with nature, this golden ball lights up and glows brighter, becoming larger with every breath. Embody this new light of yours, for when you touch & love somebody or even yourself, they will feel your wonderful power.
