In the world of luxury hair and beard care, there’s a name that stands out for more than just its quality. ByErim, a UK-based brand renowned for its award-winning, 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainably designed products, is more than just a symbol of opulence; it’s a testament to resilience and the power of tradition. At the helm of this exceptional brand is Erim Kaur, a visionary CEO and founder whose journey is as inspiring as the products she creates. Erim’s story began at a tender age when she faced a heart-wrenching loss and, soon after, a personal struggle that would set the stage for her remarkable venture. Join us as we delve into the narrative of ByErim, a brand born from love, heritage, and a profound desire to empower others on a journey of self-discovery and confidence.
- What role does sustainability and eco-friendliness play in your brand’s values and product development?
Innovation is at the core of every product, this doesn’t just mean within the context of creating the best haircare products to hit the market and furthering the development of the science of hair care (our scalp scrub is up for an innovation award due to the melting bead technology used. The beads are coral and plug home safe, as they are biodegradable and not only that we also work with a carbon-neutral warehouse for all our orders.
- Can you share any behind-the-scenes insights into the research and development process for your haircare and beard care products?
Erim herself is a training trichologist having extensive knowledge of how the hair and scalp work which means we can create products that genuinely work whilst looking gorgeous on your countertop. This means we’ve partnered with a lab based in the UK, we are very proud to be a UK-made brand.
- How do you maintain brand consistency and quality control when expanding your product line or introducing new collections?
we believe that our values tie through from all stages of development which means the products will always have that ByErim spin of innovation and luxury however, branding is really important to us and we believe that something like self-care shouldn’t be gendered but applicable for anyone which is why we’ve created a unisex brand that anyone would be proud to display which gives us consistency throughout the collection
- In a crowded market, how do you approach branding and marketing to ensure your products stand out to consumers?
We are very proud to be a thought leader within the hair and beard care space. This is very much fronted by Erim, and she absolutely loved educating people and sharing her learnings through her degree to debunk common misconceptions. This presents us as (I hope) people who have authority in the space and are trustworthy.
- What are some of the most common misconceptions or myths about hair care and beard care that you aim to address with your brand?
Ultimately scalp care is the most important thing. For example in a garden, you need to make sure the soil is watered and happy before you’re able to create beautiful green grass and we take this ethos throughout our products as they are all scalp friendly especially our oil does a great job at combating Dubai’s hard water to retain the moisture in the scalp and to ensure that the hair that grows is healthy and strong.
- How do you stay attuned to evolving trends and customer preferences in the grooming and beauty industry?
As a social first brand, we are committed to trends on social media, understanding the way that community online is developing and the role that we play within that. We try to ensure that everything comes down to a science but also has a feel good element to it. We believe these things will never go out of trend!
- How do you see the future of haircare and beard care evolving, and what role do you envision your brand playing in that future?
We see moving towards a more non-gendered space. At the end of the day, hair is hair and ByErim wants to play a role in de-stigmatising grooming and self-care in the daily routines of men.
- What new and exciting products or initiatives can we expect from your brand soon?
Erim is a very keen fragrance reviewer so watch this space and in the meantime, we will furthering the development and the education within the Middle East so people will be able to further create awareness on the different challenges they face with their hair and how ByErim can be a solution for this!
