Sugar spice and everything nice!

Enjoy the Royal High Tea, inspired by the flavours of India, at Jehangir’s restaurant.

As much as afternoon tea is loved for its pretty finger sandwiches, tasteful desserts, and restorative drinks, it’s also an occasion in itself. It’s the time for fun, food, and friends to get together over endless cups of tea and snacks and talk about everything under the sun!

Jehangir’s restaurant in Al Mankhool comes up with something for those who love to go Desi! Their Indian inspired afternoon tea offers a selection of authentic Indian treats and assorted sandwiches with an Indian twist! With their pioneering concept of the Desi afternoon tea, they are ready to delight you by putting on a show with scrumptious bites in a carousel of flavours and colours right in front of you.

We are talking Mumbai’s favourite teatime snack, the ‘bhajiyas’ – a crisp onion fritters with sweet and spicy chutneys, the popular Punjabi samosas with their potato and peas filling, along with savoury delights like papdi chaat and dahi puri.  The assorted sandwiches are an ode to the Mumbai sandwich – the classic snack available in roadside eateries of Mumbai. Soft white bread filled with a vibrant coriander and mint chutney, mayo, masala spices and fillings of cucumber, onion, tomato, carrots, purple cabbage etc.

For those who have a sweet tooth, they have an assortment of freshly baked delightful cookies on the platter. Cookies come in an assortment of flavours such as Vanilla, Almond, Ginger and Chocolate. A bite of the cookie and you will feel that all is good in the world again. Have this with a cup of Masala Chai and you won’t complain. Conversations over sips of chai accompanied by cookies define the desi tea-time.

Patrons get to have endless cups of their Masala Chai – clearly the star blend on the menu – and the most popular – a piping hot glass (yes, the famed katta chai glass!!!) of their own version of tea, a milky, and slightly biting tea with the taste of fresh grated ginger!

One thing is for sure, the Jehangir’s Royal High Tea is all set to exceed your expectations: from the moment you enter to the moment you leave, you are sure to be in for a treat!
