WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS ROUTINE LIKE AND HOW DO YOU KEEP UP WITH IT DESPITE YOUR HECTIC SCHEDULES?

Honestly, I don’t have a fixed schedule at all, in my life, in my work, you know, so it is very difficult for me to stick to a particular workout regime. I make things extremely flexible; there will never be one work out that I do. Tomorrow actually I’m checking out something called PMS… So, every day its different. I just know that every day I need to focus my attention and my energies into an hour of me time and that is working out.

THERE ARE A LOT OF COLD PRESS JUICES ALREADY WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT RAW PRESSERY IS DIFFERENT?

Raw Pressery is the largest Cold press juice pressery in India and it’s doing extremely well and has standards that are very high. It is a trusted brand which is very important and nowwe are expanding to UAE. We use farm fresh produce which comes from India and every ingredient is fresh and healthy.

DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA DAILY? WHO IS YOUR YOGA GURU?

Yoga for me is actually is more than an exercise! It is all about working on your internal organs and your body posture and your blood circulation. It is also extremely good for your mind. It has a major focus on breath and is an amazing practice for the mind, I started yoga many years ago; it was something I never completely let go. I know how important it is to balance mind, body, and soul. I think it is very important, I would tell people that forget exercise but don’t neglect yoga, make yoga a part of your lifestyle.

I am a fan of Spiritual Yogi, and visionary Sadhguru. I was even reading his book right now! I think he is fantastic. I kind of went through a lot of different forms of exercise and am more into Pilates but after reading Sadhguru and his books, I have become a firm believer in the power of yoga for mind, body, and spirit wellness.

HOW IMPORTANT IS THE ROLE OF DIET IN YOUR FITNESS ROUTINE? WHAT IS YOUR DIET LIKE?

The first thing I do in the morning is to have warm water and lime, and there is this thing I have recently started having to clear up my skin – apple cider vinegar. It makes the skin so clear and I have seen the results. I was starting to break out, like adult acne which is the worst thing to happen! The thing is that because of my erratic and hectic schedule, where I am flying all the time, there is a lot of acidity and the body ends up with a lot of toxins, which is why juicing is very important. Juices are full of healthy nutrients. Then I moved on to granola, porridge. I’m completely gluten free, dairy free and sugar free.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR DAILY YOGA PRACTICE, IF YOU HAVE ONE?

I would definitely say yoga and meditation, I mean honestly, so many times I do not get an opportunity to do that, but like, just kind of while moving into your morning you can give yourself 5 or 10 minutes just concentrating on your breathing and nothing else, that’s a very powerful exercise.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

Vitality, energy! I believe that people who don’t work out or who are unhealthy lack a certain energy; they age faster, it’s like a car; our body is like a car, you need to take care of it, you need to fuel it, give it the right food. So yes, I do it for those reasons.

ANY TIPS FOR OUTDOOR EXERCISING THAT SOMEBODY CAN FOCUS ON?

I feel that joining group classes really helps as was in my case in the beginning; they motivated me and so did Personal trainers. So, what I used to do when it comes to yoga was that I would get the Personal trainer to be at my house at 6.30 am; it was like even if I do not confirm it, just be there. This person must show up every morning, so whether I like it or not, I wake up and finish off my yoga session for the day and I am done. Now I can do all this on my own, I just wake up and do some stretches or surya namaskars. I still find group classes good and if I want to lose 2 kg or something in a particular week I do something like skipping or spinning every morning, I kind of have fun with it and manage to get results. I tackle each week as it comes.
