Tibetan Eye Reading – Revealing the mysteries within

The philosophy of Taoism is known to have espoused a natural way of life, defined as one of simplicity, authenticity and spontaneity. The strength of Taoism is that it not only teaches a philosophy of life on how to live a contented, serene life regardless of circumstances, but also prescribes physical and breathing exercises that reduce stress and enhance physical and mental well-being. Tibetan and Taoist healer, Master Devanshu is in town at Keyani Wellness with various workshops to help you experience and understand Tibetan healing and the Taoist secret of circulating Chi, the generative life force that aids the development of a powerful energetic flow, for psychological and spiritual health and balance. We find out more from him.

Please tell us a bit about yourself and your spiritual journey.

I was born in the Netherlands and after revealing visions and a rebellious youth, I started my spiritual journey at the age of 18. I lived and worked in many countries all over the world. Now I share with people my 40 years of experience in Meditation, Healing and Therapy. For many years I have been teaching Tibetan and Taoist practices which I received directly from Masters and Tibetan Lamas. In my work, I combine meditation, healing and many years of experience in therapy. Hundreds of people have done my workshops, retreats, sessions and received positive changes in their lives.

Can you tell us a bit about Tibetan Wisdom and Taoism? Are they the same thing?

Tibetan and Taoist wisdom are thousands of years old, are coming from the same source, but over the centuries developed in their own unique way. Tibetan wisdom is rooted in Tantric Buddhism, which is a synthesis of Buddhism, yoga, tantra and shamanism. Their main emphasis is on developing wisdom and compassion leading ultimately to spiritual enlightenment. They have many methods – bodywork, yoga and meditations. Healing the karmic imprints, empowering vitality systems, working on developing Tummo, the inner fire, dream yoga and many more. Taoism is a unique path that teaches to align ourselves to the forces of the Universe, the Chi or the life-force. The Taoists created very practical methods that any human being can apply in his daily life. For healing, strengthening the immune system, and for achieving ultimately spiritual immortality. The main difference between the two – is that Taoism is more about health, longevity, vitality, living a happy life. Tibetan Buddhism is more focused on on healing the karma. That leads to wisdom and compassion and enlightenment.

Could you explain how and in what ways contemporary Tibetan spiritual practices relate to the Buddhist way of being?

Contemporary Tibetan practices are more practical, suitable for a wider range of people. Since they are taken out of the code of secrecy and thus are very available. Yet still focused on healing the karma, wisdom and compassion.

How does the Tibetan eye reading help us?

Tibetan eye reading shows very clearly the dynamics, how we operate in daily life. How we act and react on impulses. This is imprinted in our DNA. Often we are unaware of those impulses. An Eye Reading reveals the unconscious habits that govern our life and helps us to understand our own motivations, desires and aspirations. It shows us areas within our psyche that are in need of a positive energy flow and healing through a Tibetan Pulsing session. I advise everybody who works with me, to start with an Eye Reading.

I read somewhere that there are seven stages of Dao Inner Alchemy, what are they and how do they help?

There are 9 stages in Taoist inner alchemy. One builds up on the preceding one, but it is too complex and comprehensive to talk about in this context. Lets suffice to say, when more and more channels are opened, that lead to higher and more refined levels of consciousness.

Please tell us something about the Medicine Buddha meditation and its relation to emotional healing, probably something that everyone needs post pandemic.

The Medicine Buddha is very available to people in times of pandemics and global disasters. The practice is easy and teaches us how to connect to the Universal energy of healing and protection. Meditating on The Medicine Buddha and reciting mantra, brings instant release of stress, fear, heals negative emotions and physical diseases.

What is a Tibetan Pulsing session like? Does it help heal emotional wounds that have been festering long term?

Tibetan Pulsing is Ancient energetic bodywork. We are pulsating beings. The pulse is light, light is love. Pulsing is a natural way of healing and regenerating from the deepest level. In a Tibetan pulsing session, the healer works on specific points on the body meridians, corresponding to the nervous system. The Pulse is brought on these points. This process creates a positive flow of bio-electricity that starts streaming through the whole body. It creates the gentle power to dissolve blockages in the Bio-electrical (or Pranic) flow, which runs our nervous system. This positive input neutralizes pain, suffering and anger through orgasmic relaxation. Results are profound and far reaching, physical tensions dissolve and defenses carried for years are released and it becomes possible to open up to a new strength and confidence which transmits to people’s work, relationships, creativity and health.

Are the Tibetan practices getting a new recognition in light of the global pandemic?

Yes, I see more and more people are connecting to and feeling attracted to the Tibetan ways of healing and meditation, specially since the pandemic.

How do these curative practices help us live a better life?

They help us live a better life, connect us to our soul, our true individuality, our true being. Bringing a richness and depth, and an awakening of intelligence that people are so much desiring and looking for.
