All roads should lead to Roadster Diner in The Dubai Hills Mall. This new concept of Lebanese hospitality fused with an American Diner is now here! Roadster Diners have been in Lebanon since the 1990’s and now with it’s warm culinary embrace is set to open Dubai’s eyes on another way of dining. Melanie Gordon checks it out.
The diner offers family friendly vibes, attentive staff and a clean and spacious restaurant interior. The decor screams American diner, including booths to sit in as well as an amazing bar, large menu and tasty treats for all ages. The ease in which this restaurant has slotted into the UAE landscape is great, holding a candle to all American Diners in both taste and service.
I went with my family and was served by the floor manager Albert. He was the most fantastic host and really wanted to showcase the best that Roadster had to offer. The restaurant was filling up quickly as the other customers were out with their families too. The bright ambience and attention of the stylization of the diner had all the attention to detail of a typical American diner without being too overbearing or fussy. You can tell the upmost priority of the staff was the satisfaction of the customer and with over 200 seats this is no mean feat the restaurant is much larger than you would expect when you first look.
The food was prompt and looked gorgeous and fresh with the most finger licking morsels on offer. We had the shrimp to start, which added a fiery zing to titillate the taste buds as well as the cheesy chips, with smooth cheese smothering each bite. These were a firm favorite and a nice way to start a meal. On to the hamburger and tacos for the main course. Simple and not fussy with side sauces for dipping as well as a delicious and lightly dressed coleslaw on the side for the hamburger. Burgers are all ways a firm favorite for all the family and the perfect comfort food, a good burger is a thing of beauty. The beefy punch perfectly matched the chips, which were neither too skinny nor too fat and the meal did not feel heavy or greasy. My daughter had the pink frozen lemonade which fortunately she enjoyed as it was not too sweet. We ordered some take home pizza in cheese and turkey flavor. No need to cook lunch for tomorrow! The depth of flavor was good and just the right side of the price point to make Roadster a nice treat for all the family.
American authenticity to the food proving that no wonder this is the most popular restaurant within Lebanon with over 25 branches based there. So, join the legions of fans from Lebanon in the quest for a wholesome meal, now at Dubai Hills Mall marking the beginning of the road for Roadster in Dubai.
