Legendary restaurant Ashiana serves more than just nostalgia on a plate.

Standing by Dubai’s iconic waterway for the past 44 years, Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers can well be called a hospitality landmark. As Dubai has blossomed into a bustling metropolis, this legacy hotel tells stories of its journey. And over three decades, the hotel’s Indian restaurant Ashiana – meaning home, has indeed been second home to many.

With an intention to continue gratifying the city’s love for great cooking, Ashiana re-opens its doors offering traditional Awadhi soul food, with a modern perspective.

Born in the North-Indian city of Nawabs – Lucknow, Awadhi cuisine was originally cooked for royalty or guests of Mughal kings who ruled Lucknow. Awadhi food is all about slow-cooking, as it enables the flavours to seep into the food. Slow cooking also represents the old-school way of consuming a meal, slowly and mindfully, in the company of loved ones, savouring every moment. Ashiana brings this vibe back into our busy life.

Recreating the magic of thirty years, Ashiana is best known for Kebabs, Biryanis and Dals. Diners can expect a variety of aromatic appetizers, hearty mains, indulgent desserts and spiced beverages.

Start with signature Lucknowi Galouti Kebabs, and Kumbhi Galouti or Quinoa Kebabs for vegetarians. Hard to pick a favourite between the signature Lucknowi raan (lamb marinated for 48-hours and slow-cooked), Laal maas (traditional lamb preparation), Tandoori Salmon, Hyderabadi Dum Murgh (slow-cooked chicken), Punjabi Pindi Chole (aromatic chickpea gravy), Sous vide cooked Dal Maharani (slow-cooked blend of lentils), non-vegetarian and vegetarian Biryanis, and selected soul food from South Indian coastal states.

The ‘chaat’ options lend a generous burst of flavours, while live entertainment on weekends creates a soothing ambience.

“At Sheraton, we remain closely connected to the local community. We source spices from our local Deira Spice Souk, which is used not just in food but also in beverages.
