What is Facial Yoga?

Facial yoga is an alternative anti-aging practice focusing on activating and strengthening the facial muscles to increase collagen production, lift the skin and erase lines and wrinkles. It is also used to detox the skin and give you an immediate glow! This wonderful practice is not only used for aesthetic purposes but also helps patients who have suffered strokes and accidents leaving them unable to move certain facial muscles.

It dates back all the way to Cleopatra! However, facial yoga got lost in time and is now making a comeback! It’s exciting to see people becoming increasingly interested in natural beautifying methods

What to expect?

Facial yoga is just like going to the gym; for serious results, you need to practice daily and stay consistent with your program. In the short-term, your skin will get a glow, facial expressions are relaxed and your complexion improves. In the long-run you can expect higher cheekbones, disappearing double chins, brighter eyes and even lifted lips! Remember, you don’t put cream for a more toned body, so why would you do the same for your face when we have over 50 muscles in our face and neck? Through unique facial exercises we encourage those muscles to create more sculpted face lines and smoothen our stress lines. Each exercise is followed by conscious breathing which increases blood ?ow to the skin and circulation of blood to the face. Fit Face does not directly rebuild collagen ?bres or elastin, but rather, it works the muscles, which support the skin. The exercises work by building a strong foundation and strengthening the muscles under the skin.

Why do it?

I love to take care of myself and I’ve been obsessed with home remedies and skincare from a very young age. I came across facial yoga when I was going through a really stressful time and it not only helped flush the stress from my face, it improved my overall wellbeing. I love knowing that my beauty is in my hands, I can practice in my own time and share this beautiful method with others.
