Lexington Grill, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

A beautiful scenic drive in the rain and we arrive at the splendid Waldorf Astoria at Ras Al Khaimah, to dine at The Lexington Grill.

The Lexington Grill at the Waldorf is the perfect place to relax with the family over good music and great food. Chef de Cuisine Lendl Pereira has done a fantastic job with the new menu that surprisingly has a number of options for the vegans and the vegetarians too! So, all you vegans and vegetarians, please visit the place for a great evening out, away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai.

The restaurant itself is a stylish place, tastefully designed with muted lighting and live soulful music by the in-house saxophonist. It is in the shape of a horse shoe with deep red and brown leather interiors effortlessly complementing the steaks and fine beverages on offer.

The experience begins when the restaurant’s seasoned Sommelier arrives at the table to treat you to an aperitif of your choice, made in front of you, and he does not disappoint with his choice of wine as well as the fizzy mocktail.

Chef de Cuisine Lendl Pereira has done an amazing job with the new menu, which is refreshing, innovative with portion size and variety that would appeal to the food connoisseurs. The culinary landscape is constantly evolving but he has managed to bring in fresh farm to table concepts with the salads and a variety with the meat. He has achieved that perfect balance of fine dining and comfort food with delicious dishes of vegetarian, vegan, sea food and delicious meats.

Starters include the delicious burratina with heritage tomatoes and beet cured salmon with a seaweed tapioca chip, Beluga lentil salad, the classic waldorf salad – a delicious mix of bresaola, celeriac, candied walnut and granny smith apples, rouquette and radicchio salad, forest mushroom risotto, baked brie and sour dough and much more. Mains were beautifully presented and a gastronomic treat, with melt-in-the-mouth lamb and wagyu beef. The Lexington Burger with wagyu beef with truffle brie in a charcoal bun and chargrilled pistachio wagyu skewers are a must try. Beautifully chargrilled king prawns and octopus were as delicious as they looked. The vegetarians had a good mix of delightful mashed potatoes, a baked casserole with broccolini and much more.

The rich, buttery and delicate fois gras was the perfect ending to a delicious meal with other delectable offerings like crème brulee and pastries.

An evening at Lexington Grill is a culinary journey of flavor, elegance and extraordinary cuisine.
