Whisk-er your cat away!

Booking a stay cation can now be guilt-free because your cat fur babies have a hotel that’s just made for them. Ipshita Sharma checks out Pawsome Pets with her cat Madmax and comes back happy.

While dogs in Dubai have a multitude of options when it comes to getaways and day cares, cats are not quite as fortunate. Normally skittish and not big fans of changing locations, cats are truly the introverts of the pet world.

But Pawsome Pets, the company that started off as a relocation company that helped paw-parents get their fur babies home, has now set up the ultimate cat hotel.

Full of hidey holes and dark corners, comfy couches, hammocks and swings, this is where your cat wants to be (when they cannot be with you).

You have the option of choosing rooms according to the size. There are duplexes available and there are also shared rooms available for cats from the same family. Care is taken for the cat to go through an adjustment phase, after which cage-free play time is allowed. Lovely Charlie, the resident therapy cat, or the I’m-here-to-make-everyone-love-me cat makes sure all visitors (human or feline) are well-looked after.

Charlie made sure to show us around the play area, the grooming area and the various facilities. He’s nothing if not thorough and very welcoming and he can’t wait to meet the cats of Dubai!

Rates start at 84 AED per day. Cats have to be vaccinated. You can contact Pawsome Pets’ Cat Hotel on +971 50 467 9127.

Good: now there’s finally a special hotel devoted to cats, instead of just a corner in most dog- focused hotels
Bad: it is still going to be difficult for cats that don’t like me environments
Trendy: the people here know what they’re doing and the facilities are great!
